Mrs. Melissa Creighton
Hello my name is Melissa Creighton. This is my 15 year teaching. I previously taught in Edison for 14 years. Boy does time fly when you are having fun! During this time I have had the opportunity to teach First, Second and fourth Grades. I have also been a Literacy Interventionist for the district. This is when my passion to help struggling readers grew even more. Since then I have become a certified teacher for RLAC's Phonics First Basics and earned my Wilson Reading System Level 1 Certification. My family is proud to say that I am recognized as a Wilson Dyslexia Specialist.
I truly enjoy challenging students and helping them to become lifelong learners. I enjoy working with parents to make sure that each child gets his/her individual needs met and is learning in a style that works best for him/her. Please contact me with questions and concerns. I look forward to working with you.
Outside of school I am a wife, mother of 2 and have 2 dogs. In the photos above you will see my husband Michael, Isabella who just turned 12 years old, Christopher is 9 1/2 years old, Lucky is our 5 year old rescue dog and Frankie is our 2 year old rescue dog. When I am not teaching I like to read, cook and spend time with my family and friends.
